Obviously I can’t speak for everyone but Book Your List when his album was released it felt like a real return to an earlier style of music.  that Bowie would continue to move away from the electronic sounds that had characterized the work of his generation. It’s a brilliant album with a relentless drive that recalls the best songs of the Bowie era.No one translated an unflinching approach to life’s difficulties into music that sounded triumphant like Bowie and the way he repeated the phrase “slow burn” as the song faded epitomized that sentiment.
